I am burned out from blogging. They need to do NaBloPoMo after Christmas. I am so busy right now, my blogging is going to be a little sporadic. I apologize in advance.
I did it! Every day! Whoo Hoo!
Bring on Christmas!
That is the number of blogs that I subscribe to. 137. Wow, I had no idea! Now, they don’t all post everyday. In fact some haven’t posted in months. But they are still on my list.
I read them in Google Reader, so I don’t have to click around on every blog. I also have another 6 that are private blogs that I go to their blogs to read. I like reading about other people’s lives. I guess I am a little bit of a voyeur.
Well, here we go again. I am going to try and blog every day in November. I’m crazy, I know.
I have a theme this year. I am going by the numbers. Every post (except the Sunday quotes) will be about numbers.
So today’s post is “1.” Today is the 1st day of November and my goal is to end the month with the number 30, meaning I have posted every day.
Here we go!
So, I am constantly finding blog posts that excite me, give me inspiration, make me cry, and make me think. I want to share these with all of you, but listing them one at a time would be annoying. So I thought I would give something a try.
Every so often, I will post a compilation of my favorite posts. I hope you all enjoy. Here we go.
A Shallow Immature Angry Rant. This is an excellent explanation of why I hate camping. This is written by one of my favorite bloggers, Braden Bell, who wrote "The Roadshow." Excellent book.
On Women and Men: Can't We Just Get Along. Another post by Braden Bell. I have to admit I have been guilty of this before, and I am going to try harder.
Healthy Halloween Party Food Tis the season...for Halloween. Here are some really fun ways to get your kids to be excited about vegetables!
Halloween Ideas More Halloween ideas!
LDS ABC's Quiet Book Finally, a quiet book that is so cute. I am going to make one, even though my kids don't need it!
Enjoy!
But I feel old in many other ways.
I feel old because I am married to a man who is 40. Forty! That just seems so old to me! But don't remind me of this when I turn 40 in 3 years. That would just be cruel.
I feel old because in my mind, I am only 19. But when I look in the mirror, some fat chick with wrinkles is staring back at me. Surely she is just dressed up for Halloween, but I know even costume makers would have a hard time creating that.
I feel old because I have a 16 year old son. He will be going on his mission in 3 years. I have less than 3 years to teach him how to iron, sew on a button, and cook more than just ramen or mac and cheese!
I feel old because I now have 2 teenagers. How did that happen?
I feel old because all my children are in school. For 3 glorious hours a day, I can do whatever I want (well, not really because I have to work). But I could do whatever I wanted. And no one would need me. There are some days that the house is too quiet. Not too often, but there are.
I feel old because I think a minivan is cool. I love my minivan! It has front and back heat controls, DVD player with wireless headphones, and even another power adapter in the back for charging Nintendo DS's while we are traveling! Yeah, I'm pathetic.
I feel old because I lose track of what I was saying. At least I don't drop off to sleep in the middle of a sentence yet.
I feel old becauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
However, I am not a great commenter myself. I love to read the blogs, but I don't always take the time to comment on them. Sometimes I honestly have nothing to say. But usually it's just because I am lazy. I also feel sometimes that no one really wants to hear what I have to say.
And then there are the blogs that get like 90 comments every time, so by the time I read it, I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said a million times. I am pretty sure Pioneer Woman never reads the 10,000 comments she gets on each post. So what's the point of commenting then?
How do you feel about it? How often do you comment? And if you are one of those that get tons of comments do you read them all?
How do you come up with a title? Do you feel pressure too, or am I just a nutcase?
In honor of my 300th post, I have created a (yet another) new blog. Here I will be posting pictures of my cute kids and family.
Unfortunately, this one will be private. I will be limiting it to family and friends that I know personally and have met IRL. I am so paranoid about our privacy now. I'm sorry to those that read this blog that are friends, but I haven't met yet. I have to protect my kiddos. I am sure you understand.
So, if you would like to read my other blog and see pictures of beautiful children, shoot me an email and I will send you an invitation.

Thanks!
So the whole point of all this is that I forgot to come back to blogging. I haven't even written in my journal. It's been crazy. But I will do better...I hope. I won't make promises. :-) I will just do my best.
More to come...
So I was going to post something witty and amazing last night, but then got caught up trying to get the pictures off my cell phone onto my computer. And oh, the drama! I got them off the phone onto the T-Mobile website, then deleted them from the phone, then emailed them to myself. Then deleted them from T-Mobile.
Never, never, never delete pictures until you are absolutely sure you have them saved somewhere else!
When I opened my email, the pictures wouldn't show. Just little boxes with red x's in them. I was sick. I shut down the computer and bawled. My poor hubby...trying to study for the Praxis test (which he is taking on Saturday!) and dealing with an emotionally drained wife.
This morning I turned the computer on and opened the email and guess what!
Still little boxes with red x's.
I spent 15 minutes on the phone with T-Mobile trying to see if there was anything I could do. Nope. Nada. Noodle. Sorry, a vague Veggie Tales reference there.
I then thought I would try to email it to my gmail email and see if they would show up there. So I hit forward, and noticed that the email had attachments. Hmmm. I sent them, then opened up my gmail account. Guess what!
Little boxes with red x's.
But I noticed that the email had the attachments. So I clicked download on one, saved it to my computer, then went onto the computer and opened it and guess what!
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!
71 pictures that I successfully saved. You can't even imagine the relief that washed through me. Last night when I went to bed, I kept saying, "They're just pictures, they're just pictures." But they're not. They are memories.
Small blessings people. Small blessings.
The Teenager playing Santa for our Christmas party...2 years ago.
Kira from last night, playing soccer...well, playing in the goal while the rest of the team plays soccer.
So in honor of me sticking with this for an entire year, I am going to post my favorite blog post from each month. Enjoy!
March - I Love My Hubby I started out with a bang by posting once in February and once in March. Thank goodness I got better at this!
April - Pink I should post this every month, just to remind you (as if you could ever forget!).
May - The Poopie List I laugh and laugh and laugh every time I read this. I guess that is why I was blessed with 3 boys!
June - Natural Birth I still am grateful I did it my way. I loved giving birth.
July - Naps Still one of my favorite things to do!
August - Lice It felt so good to get this out in the open and say, "Yes, just because my child got lice doesn't mean we have a filthy home! Good people get it too!"
September - Awesome sisters I love my family. We are there for each other and still laugh at each other too. It's great!
October - My Schedule I thought typing it up would be easy. I had no idea how busy I was. And how much busier I would get!
November - Snow It's days like this that get me through the rest of them!
December - Nutcracker Who knew my brother and his wife were so talented? I love watching this.
January 2009 - Things That Make Me Laugh Who knew I would own not one, but two blogs!
February - Self Esteem I was feeling so down and so many people commented and really helped lift my spirits. I am so grateful to all of them!
So here's to another year of random babbling!
Things That Make Me Laugh otherwise known as http://seemelaugh.blogspot.com/
Come on over and check it out. Read my welcome, then start sending me your funnies!
Please?
I have been facinated to watch as those little hearts appear and where they are. Especially the one in Europe/Great Britan!
So I would like everyone who reads this post to chime in and tell me where you are from. You don't have to leave specifics because I know we are all protective of our identities. But just a general idea.
Thanks! I can't wait to meet you all!
But seriously, I am.
Stay tuned for more details!
Because of me having to work and everything else that is going on, I just barely got my Christmas decorations put away yesterday. I am the type that the day after Christmas, I am ready to put it away. But this year I wanted to relax because I knew I would be working this past week. Well, I should have done it earlier because it has just grated on my nerves to have it all out. I love my decorations, but when Christmas is over, it's time to put it away.
I will blog more next week, and I will post new pictures too. I need to dump the pictures on my camera so I can share!
So please don't go anywhere. I promise I will be back. Soon.
I took it off. But if I get a bunch of spam, it goes back on!
Merry Christmas to all those who hate it!
