I got this idea off a blog, and now I can't remember where. Basically you make sugar cookie dough, divide it and color each part a different color. Take a small section from each color, put together to make a ball, roll it out like a snake, then roll it up. I put sucker sticks in them, but you could even just leave them without it.
Make your colors really bold because when they bake, then will soften. I was so excited with how bright these were, and then when they came out of the oven...
They were much lighter. But the kids loved them anyway. Oh, and let them sit for a while before you pick them with the stick, otherwise the stick falls right out! We learned that one the hard way!
When I make bread, I will let the kids make their own mini loaves and sometimes I will let them color their bread. They have so much fun with it, and they make really cool sandwiches!

I've never made a successful loaf of bread. I really need to learn. And those sugar cookies are so fun!! I have to try that. My kids would freak!
