There is no law that says if someone knocks on your door or rings your doorbell, you have to answer it. If I don’t want to answer it, I don’t. I am speaking of solicitors. I just let them stand there. I know that they have a hard job, but I don’t want to deal with it. That is my right.

I feel the same way. Even when my girls are screaming right by the door and they keep knocking, I don't answer it. I'm always glad when my husband is home because he usually answers it and sends them away.
