I saw this on Pinterest and had to try it. My fruit cups had the expiration date and stuff on the top, so I took some fingernail polish remover and a cotton ball and took it off. I then drew the chick's on with Sharpies. They turned out so cute!
These were so fun to make. I had the help of The Princess and her cousin, so it got a little messy, but they had so much fun! They end up similar to a Peep, but more flavorful.
What you'll need:
*3 bags of big marshmallows
*6 small boxes of Jell-O - one for each color of the rainbow, or whatever you want!
*Bowl of water
*Treat bags
And that's it. Super simple.
Pour one box of Jell-O into a zipper bag. Work with one flavor/color at a time. Dip a marshmallow into the water, getting the whole thing wet. Shake off the excess water, then drop into the Jell-O. Close the bag and shake to coat. Take the marshmallow out and place on cookie sheet to dry. Your fingers will get stained!
One small box of Jell-O did about 20-22 decent looking marshmallows, and a few more that were too ugly to hand out. The younger your helpers are, the fewer pretty ones you'll get!
We ended up with 16 bags that had every color. Of course, some were eaten along the way, and we didn't bag the ugly ones...they got eaten too! The Princess wanted labels, so she designed one that said, "Here's a bag of Unicorn poop for my friend." Nice, right?
Try them out and let me know how you liked them!
