Okay, so I am totally into this blogging thing. Maybe not always the writing part, but definitely the reading part. I am fascinated by everyone's lives. They are so much more interesting than mine!

But I was running into a problem. I now have 42 blogs that I read. And every morning (and afternoon, and sometimes evening) I would have to click on 42 links to see if anyone had posted anything new.

BUT!!!!!!

I discovered Google Reader! You set up a Google account, then enter the websites addresses and add them to your subscription. The reader will then look at every blog you have entered and list it if something new has been posted that you haven't read yet. It is so cool.

The websites that are private won't work, and there are a few others that don't, so I still have to click on those individually, but I am saving so much time! It is way awesome!

And if this is very confusing, call me and I will try to explain it better.

Hey Camille! I noticed there's another way to know when someone's updated their blog. When you go into 'configure blog list', where you can add names to your list, there's a little checklist of what items you can 'show': Icon, Title of most recent item, Snippet of most recent item, and Date of last update. I have all but the 'snippet' box checked, and I just look at my list of blog links to see when they were last updated, and it shows the title of their most recent post. And its all on your blog page. But I like your e-mail idea too! Just a suggestion.

I know, Frank loves that feature on his blog. BTW- Frank called last night after river rafting and they are all having a blast. I think it really helps Frank and the boys bond when they get to do fun things like this and Youth Conference. Yes, I am missing him.

You can also add a "blog list" to your blog - it's a new feature under "Add a Page Element". It shows your list of blogs you check and when they were last updated.

That's a good one too! However, I don't have all the blogs that I read listed on my blog page. So that wouldn't work for me.
